11° Czech Amber Lager

Inspired by Polotmavý Ležak, Rubiconda is a full-bodied amber lager hopped with Czech Saaz. Our take is double decocted to enhance the malt character. Naturally carbonated and fermented ice-cold with our house yeast.

Kind of a dull brownish-amber. Lots of foam, because I got the šnyt pour. Caramelly, lightly toasty aroma. Similar palate, lowish bitterness, off-dry finish. It’s okay but I prefer if this style is sweeter and more complex.

6oz pour at the brewery. Pours cloudy amber with a white head. Toffee and brown bread malts on the nose. Flavour dominated by a dry, brown bread malts, some toasted nuts, and crisp dried grass. Finish is crisp and dry. Very nice.

473mL can, pours a clear dark amber with a beige head. Aroma brings out toasted caramel, bready malt, and a touch of toasted nuts. Flavour is clean, with lots of dry bready malt, some toasted toffee, and some nuttiness. Quite malty, yet bone dry and bitter. Solid stuff.
