Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 6 | Flavor - 6 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 6.5
On tap at Pine Box, pours black with a small beige head. Aroma is rather jumbled, with obscured bourbon barrels, alcohol, some perfume, and moderate roast. Flavour is rather murky and poorly calibrated, with lots of bourbon, perfume, some roast, and tons of hot alcohol. This just isn't hitting the right notes — hot, poorly integrated and rather rough. I was excited to try another new HotD post retirement, but this is rather disappointing.
