To craft this variant of MASSIVE!, Gigantic started by brewing a huge Barleywine with just one malt, Skagit Wintmalt, and letting the beer boil for over eight hours for a chewy, rich, ruby-hued brew. Then they aged it in Islay Scotch barrels for strong accents of charred oak and whiskey vanilla.

16 oz. bottle, pours a deep dark mahogany with a small beige bead. Aroma is loaded with peated whiskey, toffee, toasted caramel, and bready malt. Flavour is rich and peated, with tons of Islay barrels, followed by dark fruits, toffee, and toasted caramel. The barrels really carry this. Real nice peat character—the base beer is good enough to support the barrels. Very good.
