Like Chapel Road, the Dubbel hails from Belgium. The Abbey-style beer was originally brewed by monks in monasteries. Our ale is a different kind of spiritual experience: dark caramel with notes of orange and cherry.

473ml can. Pours a hazy red amber with a small, foamy, short lived, beige head that laces. Aroma of toasted bready malt, caramel, Belgian yeast, orange rind and floral hops. Sweet flavour of caramel malt, Belgian yeast, plum, faint cherry and spicy hops in a dry, mild bitter finish. Medium body with an oily texture and soft carbonation. The orange and cherry are a bit too subtle, but still enjoyable.

473mL can, pours a dark deep amber with a small head. Aroma brings out a nice Belgian yeast character, toasted caramel, and bready malt. Flavour is not particularly authentic, but there's nice Belgian yeast expression, toffee, and bready malt. Carbonation is too low for the style. It's alright.

Pours translucent dark gold. Aroma candy and yeast. Some candy and vanilla. A bit of orange rind. A but lacking in complexity.

473 ml can. Pours a dark mahogany with moderate fizzy head that dissipates quickly. Aromas of cooked banana/fruity esters raisins and bready malts. Flavors follow same; not really getting much cherry and only subtle orange. Ok.
