Blossom into Spring with Magnolia, a multi-year culmination that celebrates our commitment to highlighting local ingredients in our beers.

Magnolia is a blend of fresh and matured barrel-aged mixed-fermentation saisons conditioned on fresh magnolia flowers foraged from a neighbour's backyard in East Vancouver.

This beer was then refermented in the bottle with locally sourced wildflower honey for a high-level of natural carbonation that makes this beer shine. Aromas of petrichor, crabapple, white pepper, brett funk and a lasting bouquet of fresh flowers. Expect a bright and balanced acidity with a champagne-like carbonation that cleanses your palette with each sip. Magnolia is a labour of love made to stand the test of time and provide a brief glimpse of spring in East Van, a place we are proud to call our home.

750mL bottle, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Nose is complex, with a very nice wild yeast character, tart crabapple, very subtle floral notes from the Magnolia, and fermented out honey. Flavour is sharp, with crabapple, wild yeast, fermented out honey, light floral notes, and a touch of citrus. Lots of fermented out honey and sharp, tart crabapple on the finish. Decent yeast profile, but not hugely complex. Unusual, but I'm digging this.

6oz pour at brewery. Pours murky yellow with lacy white head. Aroma is fully of yeasty barnyard funk and fruit skins/pith. Flavour has a lot of funky wild yeast with a touch of honey and light citrus. Funky and bright; really nice.
