Dark brown, thick head. Roasty, piney aroma is definitely appetizing. Roasty, hoppy, chocolate, lots of bitterness but also a nice malt sweetness in the finish. Well-balanced. Excellent.

On tap at Pine Box, pours black with a medium tan head. Aroma is robust, with big roasted malt and tons of earthy, piney hops -- yeah, that smells legit. Flavour is much the same, with a bold mix of roasted malt and potent piney, earthy hops. This one doesn't shy away from the roast or potent hops. Excellent old school black IPA like they used to make 'em.
