473mL can, pours jet black with a medium tan head. Nose is loaded with anise and black liquorice upfront, with a moderate roasted malt base underneath. Flavour is dry and roasty, being dominated by the black liquorice, followed by the star anise, and dusty dry roast. Not the most complex, but the incorporation of the liquorice and anise works well enough. Not the most interesting beer but it's fine.

473 ml can. Pours a very dark brown with full tan head. Aromas of lactose, licorice and roasted malts. Flavors of same with bitter chocolate and anise finish.
