While in Penticton for Fest of Ales, our friends from Langley's The Barley Merchant joined us for a Jolly Fun brew day.
Chinwag British IPA was brewed with ESB Pale Malt from Armstrong BC with a combination of Herkules and US Golding hops.
What you get a slightly sweet caramel malt profile that is balanced out by floral hop notes with hints of citrus and honeysuckle.

Bright amber, medium head. Mellow hop nose, good body, medium bitterness, fruity, good complexity. I’m liking this one.

On tap at The Barley Merchant, pours a clear amber bronze with a small white bead. Aroma brings out toasted caramel, bready malt, and resinous hops. Flavour is true to style, with resinous hops, toasted caramel, and bready malt. Balanced well, finishing with resinous hops and a nice caramel English malt. Very good.
