Draft pour pint at Aslan, poured to a teku. A slightly cloudy, bright golden pour. Thin fizz head. Tons of pear here. A nice pear fruit from start to finish. A touch of white grape as well, l leading to a super dry finish. Carb gives a bit of a bite. Very fizzy. A tangy orange background. Interesting take on the IPA style. Curious to see how long this trend sticks around. A fun, tasty brew here.

On tap at Elizabeth Station, pours a hazy blonde with a small white head. Nose brings out a nice champagne effervescence and light funk. Flavour follows through, with a really nice champagne complexity, with barnyard notes and dry citrus. Tart and champagne-like on the finish. Really good.

If you're going to jump on a pointless trend, take a cue from Aslan and actually make an effort. Of all the brut beers I've tried in the past few weeks, this is the only one that was actually worth brewing. Vibrant yellow, thin head. Almost grapey aroma, a bit unusual. Nice, grape and kumquat and gooseberry. Won't say it has the carbo I'd expect. Fun yeasty note.
