25.09.2015, tap @ Borefts:
Small creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly rich, mild newly grind coffee, mocha, grass, lactose, caramel. Taste is sour-ish dry, sorrel, grass, weeds, soda powder, mild newly grinded coffee, citrus peel, berry skin, unripe gooseberries. Medium bitterness, dry acidic mouthfeel. Nice one.

On tap @ Borefts 2015. It has a lovely coffee - green coffee aroma this. I have to say that I'm quite surprised looking at the cloudy yellow golden color with her that just off-white head, smelling this aroma. In a blind test this would be black as coffee. Burnt and really dark. Funny stuff. I can't get anything else than the coffee actually, so dominating. Tastes really good also. Painting a smile on my face this one. Sour at the finish but really fresh grounded coffee like at the start. It's mild oily in the he may have and just about average on the carbonation. A refreshing coffee kick. Really a lovely surprise. Both this beer and the brewery. 25.09.2015

Borefts Beer Festival 7th edition day 2 26/09/2015. A translucent orange / golden coloured pour with a thin white head. Aroma veggy coffee beans, tangy wheat, . Flavour is composed of coffee bean , smooth roast, veg coffee bean, tart lemon and wheat. Distinctly weird. Palate is crisp and tangy, highish carbonation.

Borefts VII. Day 1. Keg. Hazy gold beer, small white head. Palate is light and dry, mild fine carbonation. Lemony sourness getting slightly acid. Earthy coffee. Light finish. Sharp lemon and coffee only belong together in a Steve Martin movie. Flavours clash horribly.

Keg at BBF 7, Bodegraven, 25/09/15. Hazed orange with a moderate off White covering. Nose is coffee grinds, straw, earthy tones, biscuit, light citric drizzle. Taste comprises soured citric peel, less coffee, straw, light spice, lemon rind. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Interesting enough and drinkable. Coffee seems to have killed the sour edge ... no puckerings being offered !

Draught @ BBB. Pours hazy pale golden with a small offwhite head that leaves a small trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell is sour and roasty with wheat crackers, lemon juice, instant coffee, yoghurt, gravel, minerals and lemon zest. Taste is sour and roasty. Mouthfeel is slightly dry, slightly tart and light bodied. Finish is sour with wheat crackers, lemon juice, instant coffee, yoghurt, hay, minerals and lemon zest. Quite cool but more cool than good. Not a combo I’d revisit.
