Can - turbid straw color - creamy texture - medium sweet, with a rich, toasty malt character - slight hop bitterness through the middle to balance - the rye comes through on the tail end adding a little spice and a faint whiskey note - interesting brew.

Pours a hazy iced tea brown from a can, cream colored head is thick. Nice bready aroma, a little lemon as well. Similar flavor, not too thin. Good beer.

On tap at Jack's Abby, pours a cloudy golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out cereal malt and crisp biscuity notes, with light spicy, earthy rye. Flavour is very clean and neutral, with dry biscuity malt. Not much of the rye coming through. Uninteresting.

4 oz pour on draft at Jack's Abby. Hazy orange with off-white head. Aromas of malt, grains, light spice. Tastes of malt, light citrus, herbs. Light body with a dry finish.

Pours murky gold into a shaker. White head with little retention recedes to coat surface. Bread and pepper aromas. Soft and sweet with caramel and pumpernickel upfront turning to dry, peppery earth in the medium length finish.
