Hella Friends is a collaborative beer produced with Hella Coastal, Brewing With Brothas Brewing Co, Match Point Brewing, Black Barrel Brewing and HopBay. This is a collaboration in the spirit of paying it forward. Hello Friend & Hella Coastal are using their platform to help elevate our friends, new & old, that are on a path to opening their own breweries. We decided to put our spin on the classic West Coast IPA and utilized a combination of Spelt and Chit malt, yielding a beer with a touch more texture and flavor than your typical IPA. El Dorado was used in both the whirlpool and dry-hop to bring waves of juicy tropical notes while a heavy secondary dry-hop of Mosaic and Idaho Gem introduces bright bursts of red currant and cherry. Made by hella people for hella friends, this beer is meant to be enjoyed with your close ones.
