We set out to brew a complex, tasty monster of a stout that perfectly captures our no-boundaries approach. Wrecking Ball swings heavy with five types of dark-roasted malt for delicious coffee, chocolate and brown sugar notes. Two large hop additions bring that substantial maltiness back in check, delivering a big, beautifully balanced beast of a beer.

Bottle: Pours a deep brown color with a finger of rich brown head. Nice retention throughout. Sturdy roast, burnt sugars, and dark fruit. Fairly sweet, more than I find desirable. Molasses too. Burnt meets sweet. Has a decent weight for being so sweet and syrupy, but I don’t find myself to be a fan of this.

Good but not outstanding. Nice sharp roast grain bitterness, slick and smooth. Black with small beige head. Light aroma and some lingering bitterness.

On tap at bier thirty Pours out dark brown almost black topped with a tan head. Nose is roast malts smoke and some hop notes. Taste is as the nose with lots of bitter grapefruit dark roast and a little smoke on the end. Not bad.

Bomber bought at Super 1 in Rathdrum, ID. Aroma is roasty, coffee, bready, light Whoppers. Pours opaque black with a medium tan head with great retention, leaving lace. Taste is bittersweet and roasty with a nice savoriness. Flavors of licorice, coffee, toast. It’s tasty but completely average for style.

Reviewed from notes. Consumed 12/15/2013 at Hangar on the Wharf, Juneau, AK
This one came to with a dark black colored body with a super slim white filmy head that once it dies the lacing that forms is slightly clingy yet speckles in a nicely done adequate sort of fashion (nice pace).
The smell has a roasted coffee bean up front with some molasses and caramel coming out but also targets a generous amount of booziness with some pine coming through as well.
The taste is mainly sweet through burnt caramel and espresso, there’s some nuttiness floating around in the flavoring; super roasted coffee bean sort of aftertaste with a dry coffee finish.
The palate is about a medium to heavy sort of body, not exactly sessionable - super sipper. Carbonation seems to be good for the style and for me as its somewhat smooth for the most part.
Overall, this is a really nice Double Stout by No-Li that made a super fine dessert to cap a nice night out with the wife.

Opaque black color, good brown head. Sweet licorice aroma. Medium-bodied. Flavor has also lots of licorice, some hops, bitterness in the finish. A bit simple but personal.

Bomber. Pours a pure black color with a large beige almost brown head. A light fruity nose with cocoa. The flavor is great: dark fruit, ash, cocoa, a bit of anise and licorice, bitter metallic roast. Great brew. More milky oats and patent than a huge hot Impy. Smooth.

On tap at the brewpub. This was served way to cold. At first there was no aroma or flavor. Took about 5 minutes of warming it up with my hands then it changed into a different beer
Black with a medium sized tan head and lots of lacing. Aroma of roasted malts, milk chocolate and coffee. Flavors of roasted malts, coffee and rich dark chocolate
Very nice after warmed up.

Bottled@SBWF2013. Close to pitch black colour, with a small beigeish brown head to it. Aroma and flavour are both liquorice, chocolate, some slight fruity and roasted notes along with a mild ashyness as well.

Bottled at SBWF. Picth black, beige head. Apply licorice aroma. Mid sweet with full body and clean mouthfeel. Caramel and molasses, some licorice. Mid bitter finish. Simplistic.
