The Füchschen of today realizes that there should be no compromise of flavor when inebriation must be sacrificed.
Füchschen non-alcoholic Altbier is a refreshing, isotonic handcrafted brew for those moments when the real thing is not appropriate.
Frank, our master brewer unenthusiastically took on the challenge of making a true alcohol-free Altbier, and he does not mess around.

0.33 l bottle from the brewpub, bottled two weeks ago. Clear, pale golden amber with a thin, dense, almost stable, tan head. Sweetish-malty aroma of caramel, brown sugar, bread and nuts. Sweetish-malty taste of caramel, brown sugar, a bit of honey and nuts, followed by a short, slightly bitter finish. Medium body, slightly creamy mouthfeel, average to lively carbonation. Nice for that kind of ’beer’!

bottle, courtesy of pivnizub! Amber colour, mid-sized off-white head. Malty with some caramel and a hoppy touch. Quite sweet, but ok for the style.

Bouteille: Clear, amber coloured, mid-sized lacy white head; sweetish worty-malty nose, some bread, in opposite to hops, detectable; mild sweetish flavour, light bodied, but not watery; short sweetish bready and malty finish with a delicate bitterness in the aftertaste. Not the worst low-alcohol, quite similar to a german "Malzbier"…

Bottle from Getränke Tempel Düsseldorf Bernsteinfarbenes Bier mit ordentlicher weißer Schaumkrone. Geruch süß malzig, sehr getreidig, typisch Alkoholfrei.
