The Füchschen of today realizes that there should be no compromise of flavor when inebriation must be sacrificed.
Füchschen non-alcoholic Altbier is a refreshing, isotonic handcrafted brew for those moments when the real thing is not appropriate.
Frank, our master brewer unenthusiastically took on the challenge of making a true alcohol-free Altbier, and he does not mess around.

21/VII/14 - 33cl bottle @ home - BB: 15/VIII/14, bottled: 23/V/14 (2014-830) Thanks to ThirstyBird for the bottle!

Clear dark orange to amber beer, big aery off-white head, little stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: bit sweet, caramel, malty, cow fodder, hay, wort, little spicy. MF: ok carbon, light body. Taste: very sweet and sugary, caramel, little bitter, cola flavours, grains. Aftertaste: sweet, hay, cow fodder, caramel, sugary, bit yeasty, sticky. Well, time for a BrewDog Nanny State!

33cl, Abgefüllt 03.04.14, haltbar bis 26.06.14.
The beer starts malty, very fast there is the typical alcoholfree aroma. Sweetish-grainy with a nice bitter Alt-body. The aftertaste is both - nice malty and bitter Alt with a grainy-sweetish alcohol-free aroma.
Sadly this doesn’t taste like a great alcohol-free beer - there are much better ones. Even the nice Alt-aroma can’t cover the the grainy sweetness. 8/12/7/8
