Smell is malty and tiny fruity with dark bread, biscuits, caramel, lemon juice, dark grapes, raspberries, moist wood, hay, minerals, barnyard and lemon zest. Taste is tiny sweet, sour, malty, fruity and funky. Mouthfeel is tiny dry, tart and medium bodied. Draft - brewer indicated this was a young, unaged batch. Tart earthy fruity malt aroma. Hazy amber with a small beige head. Sour earthy lactic flavor. Medium body, lively carbonation. I’d like to try the aged version, because this had the potential to be very good once it developed the oaky balsamic flavor that comes from aging.
