This beer is a hazy pale golden color with a medium fizzy white head that burns away quickly to an outer ring. Spotty lacing on the glass. Malt, fruit and floral hops in the nose. Light-bodied with flavors of herbal hops, bready malt and fruit. The finish is mildly spiced with a short zesty lemon aftertaste. Decent overall.

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, best before 8/13/2013. Pours moderately hazy golden straw color with a 2-3 finger dense and rocky white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty foamy lacing clings on the glass, with some light streaming carbonation. Aromas of lemon zest, orange zest, pear, coriander, clove, pepper, ginger, wheat, bread, floral, grass, herbal, and yeast earthiness. very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of yeast ester, spice, and moderate malt notes; with good strength. Taste of lemon zest, orange zest, pear, coriander, clove, pepper, ginger, wheat, bread, floral, grass, herbal, and yeast earthiness. Lingering notes of lemon, pear, coriander, clove, pepper, cracker, bread, floral, grass, and herbal on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, spice, and moderate malt flavors; with great flavor robustness and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium-high carbonation and light-medium bodied; with a smooth and crisp mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very nice session saison style. Nice complexity, balance, and robustness of yeast, spice, and moderate malt flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

Bottle at home in Salisbury - picked up at Whole Foods in Portland, ME. Pours lightly hazed yellow-gold with a fine, creamy white head. The nose has lightly tangy lemon notes, some straw, drying out dough. Light sweet flavor, more lemony fruits, some lemon rind and hay bitterness, a bit of dry dough sweetness. Light bodied with fine, spritzy carbonation. Clean to finish, some doughy sugars, decent bitter lemon rind, straw. Very crisp, drinkable saison.

Decent saison with some bitter hay and grass on the top. Pours cloudy pale with good head and lacing. Decent amount of barnyard in here with hay and musk. Finishes grassy bitter. Soft carbonation. Ok for style, has good balance. Some soda water in feel with some cloying. Bottle.
