Bottle from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours hazy light gold with a foamy white head. Aroma is fresh, but light earthy citrus. Med minus body. Flavor is lightly earthy and the flavor is something green. Had me thinking of very light bay leaf. Finishes clean, dry and a tad earthy.

Bottle sample at a tasting at the Beer & Beyond shop. Thanks Yoav. Hazy yellow to pale golden. Aroma of sage, a hint of za’atar, more spices and a bit of yeasty fruitiness. Fruity and yeasty flavor with spices, sage, and a dry finish. Medium-bodied.

Had again today, this time froma bottle, not bad at first but has a strong astringent aftertaste. raised from a 1.9 to 2. old rating: On tap at mad mex. Creamy head. Slight perfume aroma. Quite bitter, almost like an IPA. Chewing on green grapefruit rinds manifests itself on the back of the throat. Same with finish. Not impressed. Some mild co2. Was expecting something a little more saison like.

12oz bottle. Potentially filtered yellow-tan, thin white head. A spice bomb in flavor, but delicate and light in body. Big aggressive lemongrass perfume notes, maybe some brett underneath. Herbal pine-sol. This is by no means a beer I’d want to session on, maybe before the spices. Delicate great malt body harshed.

Bottle. Pours yellow gold with white head. Nose and taste of coriander, spicy malt, banana, metallic lemon and light citrus. Light to medium body. Finishes with spicy coriander and splash of citrus.

Sampled on draft at 3R6P this beer poured a pale yellow color with a huge fluffy white head that lingered and left great lacing. The aroma was a lovely mix of mustiness with moderate notes of pepper, citrus and bread. The flavor was dry, musty, dusty and funky with notes of pepper, bread dough and citrus. Long dry pepper and must finish. Medium body. Solid.

Drought. Rich yellow color, small whitish foamy head, hoppy aroma, low carbonation, abrupt finish. Nice refreshing seasonal.

Bottle. Cloudy light gold. Frothy white head. Lots of spice in the aroma. Cardamon, clove, all spice, herbs, toasted grain. The flavor is lightly to moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery turning velvety texture, lively carbonation. Dry enough, but the spice tastes forced and infused, making one wonder what they’re masking in order to pull off a 4.5% saison. No nuances here.

Pour is a cloudy blonde with a average white head. Aroma is spicy and peppery with some lemon zest. Flavor is again spicy, peppery with notes of Belgain yeast and green hops. I’m digging the idea of a session saison. The only reason I did not give it a higher rateing is b/c all the things you are looking for in a saison are there just kinda muted.
