Swing. It’s a lively jazz rhythm, a vigorous sway, a change of view or even a roll in the proverbial hay. Now it also means the welcome jolt of joy you’ll experience upon your first sip of this session saison. Bracing, but benign, this Belgian style ale enlivens any experience with a spicy, aromatic start, citrus snap and fresh finish. Swing into spring with taste!

Pour is a cloudy blonde with a average white head. Aroma is spicy and peppery with some lemon zest. Flavor is again spicy, peppery with notes of Belgain yeast and green hops. I’m digging the idea of a session saison. The only reason I did not give it a higher rateing is b/c all the things you are looking for in a saison are there just kinda muted.

Draft. Hazy pale yellow color, almost no head. Aroma of white pepper and straw. Bitter and lager like with no detectable barnyard or orher saison characteristics.

12 oz bottle purchased at Liquor Barrel in Golden Valley, Minnesota. Enjoy by July 21, 2013 printed on bottle neck. The pour is lightly hazed pale yellow with a frothy one inch white head. The aroma is light phenols, herbal, orange lemon citrus, and soft clove. Nice integrated, complex nose. The taste lemon citrus, herbal, peppery phenols, and finishes with a grassy hay. The palate is light bodied, soft carbonation, and a dry earthy, mineral clove herbal finish. A lot of nice flavor in this beer, easy drinking.
