Inspired by the International Nettle Eating Competition held at our local Bottle Inn, Marshwood, we decided to produce a nettle beer. The result is a refreshing IPA where citrus fruits and floral aroma and flavour combine with a hint of nettle and a long bitter finish.

Bottle on holiday in Lyme Regis. Hazy gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light with mild fine carbonation. Thin malts provide enough sweetness to support the orange pith and orange peel hops. Touches of floralness and lemon. Light finish, bitter peel linger on. Not really getting what the nettles bring here but it’s a nice beer.

Cask - Lemon citrus and grapefruit. Hazy gold with a bubbly white head. Grapefruit pithy bitterness and a odd lingering herbal piney bitterness. I would guess the nettles.
