Handpull cask at the Earl of Beaconsfield, Cambridge. Amber/light brown. Almost clear. A glorious slightly loose white head on top. Green wood, grass, lemon and a touch of cinnamon. Light bitterness pervades the taste from the Styrian Goldings hop. The long finish is earthy yet delicate. Astringent notes with hints of unripe strawberry in the aftertaste. Very well put together. This is why I like cask ale.

Cask at the Alma Inn, Harwich. Poured a clear copper colour with a thin white head. The aroma is light citrus hop. The flavour is moderate to light bitter with a dry yeasty grain light fruit, hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

[ As Bishop Nick 1555 ].Clear medium amber color with a small to average, open and frothy - fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, hay, caramel, toffee. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration, pale malt, caramel, sweet malt, sugary. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20140812]

Klares bernsteinfarbenes Bier mit einer geringen beigen Schaumkrone. Geruch nach Honig, Gewürzen, Karamell, leicht hopfig. Geschmack leicht fruchtig hopig, ganz wenig Äpfel, Karamell, gering herb.

From cask. Pours clear and golden orange with a small off white head. Aroma is light fruity, toasted malty. Bitter, mild citric and crisp hoppy. Light bitterness into a medium dry finish.
