[notes] Poured from the tap @ FHF 2023 (Aug 12, 2023). Hazy gold with small white head. Simple German pils, well made, gentle hops.

Gloppy sweet pale malt of an underattenuated and underhopped lager. Light herbaceous hop expression, kinda yeasty. Sticky, just not balanced. I am not sure where breweries in North America got the idea that rustic lager tastes like this. The most obvious example of rustic would be Kommunbrauerei Falkenberg, which doesn't have electricity. But any zoigl would surely qualify as rustic, and pretty much nothing I've seen billed as rustic lager in North America tastes anything like the ones in Germany.

On tap at Farmhouse Fest 2023, pours a hazy bright golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out unfermented wort and earthy notes. Flavour is bitter and muddled, with unfermented wort, earthiness, and bready malt. This doesn't seem ready — too much unfermented wort. Puzzling product.

A taster shared with Josh, Matt, Phill, and Ryan during FHF with priceless Rachel's (yup, again!) help in organizing all the mess with glasses. Appearance: Aroma: malty, crispy. Taste: same, quite bitter, a bit harsh. Overall: ok.
