Nice hops, but overall kind of lightweight. Amber in color with decent creamy beige head. Light hop aroma, hops overtake the malt in the taste, citrusy notes. Short, metallic finish.

Cloudy amber color with compact head. A nice ale with a good caramel malt flavor, dryish, strong bitterness; not very emotional, but clean, enjoyable and well brewed as usual by Elysian.

Bottle, 22oz. It pours a medium sized white head over a murky orange-golden body. The aroma is on the hoppy side, peaches, canned tropical fruits and pine cones, but with a nice maltyness underneath. Lightly maltysweet flavor, but with enough bitterness to deal with it. Citrus peel, pine cones and a touch of tropical fruits too. A bit low on carbonation I think, feeling almost dead in the mouth. Full to medium body. Lasting bitterness in the end. A quite decent one, but far from impressive. 130702

Bottle at Akkurat, April 2013. Clear copper with a medium, thick white head. Aroma and taste of toffee, dried fruit, some orange, syrup and notes of cardboard. Drinkable but I guess that the bottle was a bit old.

Sample at the Tap House Grill in Seattle. Cloudy reddish-amber color with a medium foamy off-white head that recedes slowly. Short strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of malt, caramel and hops. Light to medium body with flavors of caramel malt, hops and grapefruit. The finish is hoppy with a short citrus aftertaste. Decent straightforward APA overall.

Tap at Elysian Fields, Seattle - 09/11/12. Lightly hazed mid amber with a thin off white head that reduces to a pond and the edge of the glass. Nose is pine, tropical fruits, mango most noticeable. Taste follows the nose, hops, pine, mango, bitter grapefruit. Medium bodied with soft carbonation lending towards a bitter finish.

12 oz bottle. Pours a read/amber with light head. Light malt and pine aroma. Flavors of northwest hops - pine and citrus - though not overly hopped; with light caramel and malts flavors. A bit thin but quite nice.

On tap at the monaca bocktown, nice place. Looks like a pale lager. No head. First thing I notice is that its quite like a mild IPA. Yes, mild IPA. Not sure where the red come from, this must be the ale and not the red. Some mild hop perfumy aroma. Finish is medium length stronger APA thing.

Bottled at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Lightly hazym amber, minimal head. Distinct grapefruit aroma. Dry with clean, crisp mouthfeel. Bread and crystal malt rolled in layers of grapefruity hops. Short mid bitter finish. Simple concept, not much depth, but still tremendously well made, relaxed and likable.
