[ As XT Animal Squeak ].Clear medium to dark brown amber color with a average, frothy - fizzy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, nutty, fruity malt. Initial flavor is moderate sweet and bitter, finish flavor is moderate sweet and morate to heavy bitter with a long duration, nutty, caramel, fruity, hoppy, dry. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20140807]

Gravity dispense at EBF ’18, 07/08/14. Dark chestnut brown with a well appointed beige covering that retains. Nose is fruity, light citrics, orange marmalade, hoppy backnotes. Taste comprises mellow fruits, hoppy pang, orange pith, light mineral tones, light spice. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with earthy hop bitterness. Ok amber.

Cask - Dark caramel and some light nutty notes. Clear dark copper with a bubbly head. Caramel notes with a hoppy bitterness. A little to bitter with little hop flavor or aroma.

Cask, gravity at the brewery, Long Crendon, Bucks, Tuesday 29th July 2014 Pours amber with a distinctive reddy hue, a light haze, chill haze maybe and a smattering of bubbles dancing across the top. Punchy New Zealand hops show, I’m told that Pacific Gem and one beginning with W (forgot name) were used. There is a decent malty backbone to this, sort of like a more robust, hoppier bitter if you like, fruity streak with a tangy edge.
