Diamond Cholla is a gem of a beer. A curated blend of well-aged braggot, traditional American barleywine and and a base of imperial stout all aged in fresh, American Bourbon Barrels. with notes of caramelized sugar, American oak and hints of mature whiskey. This blend drinks like a cocktail in a bottle.

Can at Peders Turns 8 - Vol 2, Copenhagen 07/12/2024 Sweet dark malty with some caramel and fudge notes, some dark dried fruit, rich chocolate, nice bourbon richness coming in, full bodied, nice spices into the dark malty bourbon infused malty finish. Lovely stuff.

Sampled from the tap at the brewery. Pours near black with an earthy brown head that dissipates quickly to the edges. Aroma has notes of bourbon and dark grains with some toffee and caramel supporting. Flavor has boozy sweet grains and toffee with growing bourbon and some caramel in the finish.

Pint can pours up with a dark mahogany colored body that supports a thin tan head of foam. The aroma comes across sweet with malts and a hint of dark fruity esters before malt and molasses sweetened dark roasted malts, a bit of spicy oak and booze take over. The taste delivers smooth slick reduced sugar and kettle caramelized malt goodness leading to a mild degree of date and prune sweet dark fruity esters. Nice. Another sip reveals layers of malts to dark roasted malts bleeding all over a thin stave of spicy oak. This comes together nice and blurs the line between barleywine and imperial stout to a degree. Great sipper.
