On tap at the brewery, Hopfenhöcker, Munich in the company of Lynn and Barry, Saturday 30th March 2019. Pours brown with a ruby glint and a light tan head. Soft in the mouth, tangy with tartness, some dark fruits and berries combine, dry finish. Good.

Flascherl: Deep amber coloured with a ruby sheen, visible carbonation, stable medium-sized off-white head, moderate bitter-sweet nose of dried fruits and dark malt with traces of molasses and chocolate; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied, a bit fizzy; lingering bitter-sweet dark-malty finish with traces of cacao. Bottle on the NJ463 23.11 Munchen - Budapest, 120118, 07/06/18. Rich mahogany brown with a well presented beige cap. Nose is biscuit, brown breads, cocoa powder, toffee, dark fruits. Taste comprises baking powder, light spice, dark malts, cocoa pops, toffee, chocolate dipped raisins. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent for the style.
