Cask at the Bell, Waltham St Lawrence. An attractive reddish chestnut colour with a tight beige head; biscuit malt aroma with a hint of vanilla; similar taste, biscuit with just a trace of vanilla; then a lingering custard cream finish.

Cask at the Bootlegger, 18/05/18. Rich mahogany brown with a decent light beige head. Nose is nutty, mellow fruit rinds, brown bread, dried fruit. Taste comprises light vanilla essence, hint of chocolate, dried fruits, light charr, spice, toffee. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close. Ok mild.
