Keg at BD Mighty Boosh, 14/03/14. Black with a well presented tan head. Nose is candied fruit peel, chocolate melt, lightspice, toffee, syrup, brown sugar. Taste comprises toffee fudge, chocolate, toffee crisp, maple syrup, dark fruit rinds, light roast, molasses. Medium plus bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a rising boost. Not bad if a touch sweet.

Keg at BDSB. It pours near black with a small tan head. The aroma is rich roasted malt, sticky, oily, chocolate cake, liquorice, varnish and such. The taste is dry, bitter, charred wood, rich roasted malt, toasty, peppery spice, liquorice, some booze, oily and some burnt toast with a dry, toasty finish. Chewy and toasty. Fine, but lacks depth.
