Keg at the Cock Tavern - Hackney. Pours clear copper-gold with a tight, creamy off-white head. The nose holds toasted brown bread and cereal, a little earth, biscuits. Light sweet flavour with nice bready malt character, toasted grains, nipsnof earth and brown sugar, some leather. Light to medium bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Well balanced finish, subtly dry, with further toasted biscuits and crackers, brown bread, mellow leafy bitterness. Solid marzen.
