Keg at London Beer Lab, 13/10/17. Black with a well presented tan head. Nose is roasted, charr, spice, earthy hop, pine flicker. Taste comprises liquorice, spice, charr, earthy red berry tang, cocoa powder. Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, semi drying close peppered with earthy hop bitterness. Fun enough boosty CDA but no classic.

Keg at the London Beer Lab. pours black-brown with a lingering, creamy khaki head. Strong ashy roast in the aroma, burnt pine, some citrus rind. Medium sweet flavour with lots of ashy bitterness, chalky baking cocoa, torched pine, grass. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly warming on the finish, quite dry, with loads more aggressive ashy roast, tobacco, scorched earth, pine and grass. A bit harsh overall.
