Big offwhite head immediately starts shrinking with a hissing sound. Clear deep yellow body with strong carbonation. Fruity oily aroma with wheat and wild berry notes. Hints of alcohol. Sweet fruity mealy taste with banana and oil notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, mealy mouthfeel. Sweetish fruity mealy aftertaste with alcoholic paper notes. It’s partly very good, and partly poor. Really, really close to being a very good beer. (0.33l bottle, from some wine monopoly. I forget which.)

Fonefan 201214. Golden colour with a white head. Aroma is coriander, banana, cloves. Flavour is coriander, malt, hop, wheat, yeast, orange, banana, cloves. Medium body. Ordinary beer.

Bottle 330ml. [ As Mack Kristall Weissbier ].ABV: 6.5%. Clear medium yellow color with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is light to moderate malty, wheat, moderate yeasty, pale fruit, yeast, tart fruit notes. Flavour is moderate sweet with a average to long duration, sugary malt - yeast, fruity, yeasty. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20141220]

Flaske fra Vinmonopolet Kvadrat: klar gylden med kort skum som ikke etterlot seg noen spor. God aroma av nellik og maltsødme. Fin, lett blomsteraktig og saftig smak med nellik og litt pepper, og med en kledelig maltkropp. Den gode smaken holdt seg fint selv når temperaturen i glasset steg. Håper de kommer med en uflitrert versjon.
