Keg at CBC Clerko, 24/04/17. Extremely dark mahogany brown with a decent beige head. Nose is rummy, sweet malts, syrup, toffee, light fruit esters. Taste comprises chocolate, molasses, rum barrel, light spice, tangy dark fruits. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a warming glow from the rum. Ok stuff ... maybe a bit OTT on the rum.

Keg at CBC Clerko for the tap takeover. An oily black brown coloured pour with a no head. Aroma is sour tangy spicy lacto, grape fruits, liquorice, spicy, sweet plummy fruits. Flavour is composed of semi sweet and sour tart plum and grape, woody tannin, brown sugars, liquorice, earthy malts. Little. Madeira cake. Spicy lacto. Palate is semi sweet and sour, woody tannin, lowish carbonation. Little oily. Interesting maybe unintentional sour.

Keg at the CBC Clerkenwell - London. Pours deep brown with almost no head. Tangy aroma, lots of dried berries, old wood, suggestions of cocoa. Light sweet flavour, moderately acidic, with leathery berries, ashy roast, earth. Medium bodied with spritzy carbonation. Finishes with some acetic twang, bits of alcohol, tart berries, blackberry, more leather, woody dryness. Quite novel.
