Keg at the brewery tap, 22/02/15. Rich mahogany brown topped with a beige swirl. Nose is biscuit, toffee, light aniseed, cocoa rub. Taste comprises biscuit malt, ligh ashen notes, dark fruit trace, toffee, earthy. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent enough mild, shame this one wasn’t on cask.

Draft at the brewery bar. Pours clear brown with a creamy tan head. Nice toasty brown bread in the nose, light grain and cocoa. Light sweet flavor with nicely toasted whole grain bread, dry toffee, earthy bitterness. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Nicely balanced finish, more toasty, grainy bread, hints of cocoa, dry earth, leaves. Pretty classic in style.
