Keg at the brewpub, Asheville, 17/02/15. Chestnut brown topped with a moderate light beige swirl. Nose is toffe, yeast esters, clove, banana, light spice. Taste comprises toffee, apple orchard notes, Belgian yeast esters, light spice. Medium + bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Drinks below the ABV but typical US Belgo offering @lacks depth and underwhelming.

Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 5 | Flavor - 6 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 6

Keg at the brewery. Pours a clear amber with a large creamy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of toasted malt, caramel, mild stone fruits. The taste is caramel malt, booze, corn, dry herbal hops. Medium bodied, low carbonation, mild lingering sweetness.
