HB big thanks to LKS, 28/02/14. Black with a decent tan covering. Nose is rich malt, light charr, chocolate, spice, sweet notes, molasses. Taste comprises chocolate, green peppers, charr, toffee fudge, nutty, sweet licks, chipotle trace. Medum bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with light chilli heat tempered with fruit and chocolate. Good balance for a chillified porter, decent tackle.

Draft at the brewery taproom. Pours clear, rich brown with a frothy beige head. Nice aroma, with moderate roast, dry chocolate and accents of red pepper. Medium sweet flavor with balanced roast, cocoa, smokey pepper, light spicy tingle. Medium bodiednwith average carbonation. Crisp pepper spice in the finish, a bit more smokiness, dry chocolate, dried fruits, earthy bitterness. Nice. Great pepper balance.
