Keg at PP Ocean Beach, 13/11/14. Clear golden with moderate off white edgeing. Nose is light fart, citric peel, bitter orange, straw, pale malt, toasted bread. Taste comprises floral notes, bitter orange, citric pith, tangerine, melon. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with sweet tones and some hop bitterness present. Low end DIPA, just doesn’t have any oomph.

Sample at the brewpub. Pours a clear orange-gold color with a medium foamy white head that recedes gradually. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of hops, tropical fruit and malt. Medium to full body with flavors of citrusy hops, grainy malt and pine. The finish is moderately bitter with a pineapple and hops aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

On tap. Pours with a clear, slightly deep golden hued body with a lasting white head. Aromas are grassy, grainy, mango, caramel, alcohol and lightly estery. Flavors are grainy, alcohol, mango, wet grass, a touch peppery. Too sweet for my tastes/expectations from Pizza Port. Lively carbonation. Not one of my favorite Pizza Port DIPAs nor one of my favorite fresh hop beers that they do.
