Cask at the Merchants Inn, Rugby, 03/08/14. Clear golden with a decent off white head. Nose is malty, bread notes, dark fruit rasp. Taste comprises brown bread, earthy, malt notes, toffee apple. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, bitter linger. Adequate bitter.

Bottle. Dark amber beer with a strong head. The aroma is lightly roasted, and the flavour is lightly roasted and very weakly watery dry. Overall a very average beer.
