Keg at the brewpub, upper Kanapali Maui, 23/04/14. Clear light golden with a moderate off white covering that retains well. Nose is toasted malt, light spice, cereals, grass, lemon rind, corn, yeasty leanings. Taste comprises citric peel, grass, chipotle, green peppers, straw. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, crisp close with chilli heat evident. Nice twist on the base beer - not too hot!

Approximately 3-4 oz sampler at the Brewpub in Lahaina, Maui. The pour is gold yellow, with not much of a white head. The aroma is a little earthy, dusty vegetal spice. The taste is big hot pepper (more than expected), with a clean malt lager behind that. The palate is light to medium bodied, decent carbonation level washed the heat away leading to a dry finish. Nice clean lager with clean pepper flavor. Well executed for the style.

Sample at the brewpub. The brew is a clear yellow color with a medium thin white head that diminishes quickly. Short strings of lacing on the glass. Peppery aroma with some malt notes. Light body with flavors of bready malt and hot pepper. The finish is peppery with a lingering burn left over. Average beer overall.
