Draft at the brewpub. Nose is chocolate, light smokiness, and steel cut oatmeal with no adulterations. Pitch black with a medium, heavy lacing, long lasting, tan head. Flavor is lightly bitter, smoky, chocolate. Excellent stout.

Keg at the brewpub in SLO, 30/04/14. Pitch black with a dirty tan covering. Nose is bitter roast, coco powder, dark toffee, liqourice. Taste comprises rich malt roastings, dark chocolate, mineral bite, toffee fudge. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, dry roasty close. Solid stout.
