Cask at the Cask, Pimlico, 15/05/14. Light black to extremely dark mahogany brown with a moderate tan covering that dissipates edgeward. Nose is Bourbon biscuits, light roast, cocoa powder, mellow dark fruits. Taste comprises earthy cocoa, baking powder, ligh charr, biscuit, light roast, hint of spice. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, semi drying close. Ok porter, ticks the style boxes but nothing I’d choose to revisit.

Cask @ Mason’s Arms, Todmorden. Very dark with a small off-white head. Has very weak roasted malts with a medium body.
