Serve in a bowl - yeah a dogs bowl and pitty the poor dog ! Keg at Third Street Aleworks, Santa Rosa, 28/04/14. Cler golden with little in the way of a head. Nose is cheese balls, knob cheese, putrified fat, fucking disgusting smeggy cheese, I almost wretched! Taste comprises cheddar cheese, light metallic rinse, just cheesey rancidity but not quite as bad as the aroma! Medium bodied, fine carbonation, dirty cheese and unwashed foreskin (I can only imagine!) in the close. Diabolical offering, no ’linner charectaristics, no acidic tones, just cheese with a nip of metal. I said to the girl behind the bar she ought to take this off (a few other drinkers had just tried it and pulled the same face as me), she laughed and left it on. Not sure whether the folks at the brewery/bar think this is how a ’linner should be and just presume the folks who pull a face don’t know the style or sour beers, she had that ’oh - another amateur beer drinker - you newbs always give that reaction to your first Berliner Weisse’ kind of face about her. If it’s some kind of in house joke - fine, but don’t charge $$ for it ! A disgrace ! See also their Cherry Springer, their Cherry version of smeggy cheese meh.
