Cask at the Blind Tiger, NYC, 25/11/13. Mid black with a good sized tan head that dissipates to a swirl and edgework. Nose is light roast, chilli, green pepper, earthy cocoa, light tropical fruit notes. Taste comprises green peppers, light roast, bitter dark chocolate, faint tropicals, dark berry fruit. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, well integrated chilli heat in the finish. Decent variant on their CDA but a little too much chilli heat to bracket as a black IPA.
