Tap at Victory, Downington, 27/11/13. Clear golden amber with a moderate off white swirl. Nose is toffee, sugars, Belgian yeast notes, dark fruit, pinch of spice, brown sugars. Taste comprises bready malt, dark toffee, spice, cloves, yeast esters, dark fruits.Medium bodied, fine carbonation, dry fruity closure. So so Belgian affair, drinkable but a one trick pony.

On tap at HopCat, Grand Rapids. Hazy orange-brown body, thick buff head. Herbal nose with strong, soapy, perfumy, bitter hops and toast. Dryish, creamy body with herbal hops and a bitter finish. More-or-less a pale ale with a subdued malt profile.
