Cask at EBF XVI, 07/11/13. Mid black with a thin beige covering that clears to nothing. Nose is big dark fruits, bourbon, treacle toffee, dark malts, sugary, nice stuff. Taste comprises light booze, earthy cocoa, dark fruit tang, toffee, bourbon soaked wood. Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, light oaky boozyness in the finale. Another decent strongish stout/porter from Hop Kettle.

On gravity at Swindon Beer Festival, 24/10/2013. Dark brown with a slight, tan head. Rich and sweet aroma, with plenty of dark fruits, treacle and chocolate. Full mouth feel, with plenty more sweet fruits and chocolate, roasted malts and a hint of nuittness. Finish was dryish with a touch of whisky warmth. Excellent.
