First we kettle soured a small batch of our Imperial Porter with our house lactic culture. Then we added black currants and blended it with a Baltic Porter conditioned with pureed raspberries. The result is a dark, fruited, tart glass of something eventful!

Tap at Crows Feet Commons, Bend, 24/05/13. Mid black with a thin tan head that retains well. Nose is soured berry and dark fruit, touch of liqourice, light roast, tarte blackberries, musty, woody notes. Taste comprises soured berries, tarte blackcurrants and raspeberries, lactic notes, hint of chocolate, light roast, sugars, funnky. Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, tarte berry finish. Decent stuff I enjoyed this unusual sour!
