Tap at Beermongers, PDX, 26/05/13. Light black with a thin tan head. Nose is roast malt, sugars, vanilla, light chocolate. Taste comprises light roast, molasses, dark toffee, touch of chocolate. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light roast finish. Ok porter.

Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 7.5
Sample at the brewpub. Pours dark brown with reddish highlights. Thin beige head that recedes to a film quickly. Sweet roasted malt and coffee in the nose. Medium, creamy mouthfeel with flavors of toasted malt, mild coffee and hops. The finish is malty with a sweet chocolate aftertaste. Above average overall.
