From the Wooden barrel at Cascade barrel house, PDX, 22/05/13. Lightly hazed pale blonde with a thin white head. Nose delivers a big sweet ginger hit, this is backed up with far more subtle doses of lime, wooden notes, light must and cobwebs. The power of the ginger tends to dominate and wipe out most of the flavours one would normally expect from a sour. Taste is not so OTT ginger but this still carries a good presence, lime, sugars, perfumed tone, light funk, damp wood, tarte citrus fruit, light ginger driven spice, trace of the bourbon barell ageing but very subtle. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, dry and sour finish. Ok sour but balance not spot on for me - needs less ginger and a touch more sourness/funk.
