Tap at Deschutes on Bond St, Bend, 23/05/13. Hazed golden amber with a thin beige head. Nose is a little subdued for an 8% beer, dark fruits, light spice and toffee. Taste comprises dates, raisens, caramel, spice, yeast notes. Full end of medium bodied, fruity in the finish. An ok Belgian but nothing I’d be excited about trying again.

Sample at the Bend brewpub. This beer pours a hazy orange color with a thick and foamy white head that diminishes slowly. Rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of yeast, fruit and malt. Medium to full body with flavors of fruity yeast, earthy malt and caramel. The finish is fruity with a honey sweetness left behind. Pretty good overall.
