Hazy golden colour, medium sized dense white head which lasts for several minutes; aroma of wine cellar, earth, some fruitiness (grape) and grainy notes; taste is very similar to the aroma; dry mouthfeel; not a perfect tripel, but still drinkable

Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 26C). Bottle 33 cl - Batch L.TQ03. AROMA: predominant sulphury aroma with a slight sour note. cereal hull aroma present. faint spicy note. APPEARANCE: dark golden colour and hazy. average white head with moderate retention. low lacing. TASTE: predominant cereal hull flavour with a slight sweet malt background and sulphury notes. very faint esters and yeast notes. medium-low bitterness with an almost dry finish and slight astringent. PALATE: medium-low to low body. moderate to low carbonation. slight cereal hull astringency. OVERALL: a tripel that needs a bit of tweaking, mainly on the fermentation side.
