Fonefan 201214. Amber colour with a beige head. Aroma is roasted malt, caramel, fruit. Flavour is roasted malt, caramel, fruit, yeast. Medium body. Ordinary beer.

Nice creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is strange grainy, weeds, yeast, old lawn, flowers, hay, dried grain, soil, nuts. Taste is slightly dry mineraly, hay, weeds, dried grain, minerals, harsh hops, wet grass, soil, bark. Medium bitterness, slightly harsh and watery mouthfeel. Meh!

500 ml bottle. Clear amber body with a big, fluffy and lacing tan head. A little sign of gushing in the start, but no problem as previous experience with this brewery made me prepared. Quite weak in aroma, a faint hint of caramel malt and fruit with something woody. The flavor is moderate sweet malt, hint of caramel, traces of fruit and a slightly harsh bitterness. Medium to thin body and a bit strange in aftertaste. At first just similar to the main flavor, then more bitterness ending up with something closer to sour. Not exactly unpleasant, but not with a good balance either. The label states this to be a strong brown ale, I can’t say they have succeeded with that. This beer is definitively not strong by any means, even considering the low ABV.

Orangebrun klar med fingerhøyt beige skum. Lukter nøtter, trevirke, bær og lett karamell. Søt fruktig, karamell med lett bitter humle, brent karamell i avslutningen.

Bottle 500ml. [ As Laagen Baksida ].Clear medium amber color with a large, frothy - creamy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, toasted, light hoppy, malt. Flavour is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average to long duration, fruity, toasted, caramel, hay. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20141220]

50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden orange with a small tan head. Aroma is toasted malty and light caramelish. Toasted and caramelish. Bitter and slight herbal. Dry and bitter into the finish.

Bottle. It’s a lightly unclear one, dark golden to amber in color and with some microfloaties. A dense, off-white head on top. Fruity, almost peachy aroma with some lightly roasted malts. Pale malts, some faintly roasted malts and a generic fruityness in the flavor. A touch of bitterness too. Medium body and a soft carbonation. Lasting lightly roasted finish with fruityness and a fine bitterness. Not much of a brown ale, but it’s a decent beer after all. 141220

Bottle 500ml @ fonefan
Pours clear copper with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, yeast and hint of chocolate. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a long caramel and yeasty finish. Body is medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.
